Purpose

Deichmann Shoes has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Cover Store Manager, supporting our store in Slough and other stores in the surrounding area.

Stores covered include: Slough, Cowley, Reading, Woking, Newbury, Camberley, and additional stores within a reasonable commuting distance.

Working as a Cover Store Manager for Deichmann, you will be offered a competitive salary of £30,500 per annum.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring full flexibility to work across the week. Our Cover Managers are considered high potential managerial talent and are on a fast track to store management roles.

After initial training, Cover Managers gain understanding of store operations by providing managerial cover across a cluster of stores and must be able to travel within a defined geographical area.

Upon completion of training, Cover Managers are well-positioned for promotion to Store Manager.

Key activities include:

• Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Lead by example in promoting and upselling products.
• Draft rotas in line with payroll budgets.
• Manage stock levels.
• Analyze sales figures and reports.
• Ensure all company standards are maintained, including merchandising and administration.
• Work towards targets and achieve KPIs.
• Assist with recruitment and team development.
