Purpose

Deichmann Shoes has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Cover Store Manager, supporting our store in Norwich and surrounding areas.

Stores covered include Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, and other locations within a reasonable commuting distance.

Working as a Cover Store Manager for Deichmann, you will be offered a competitive salary of £30,500 per annum.

This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring full flexibility across the week. Our ideal candidates are our fast-track, high-potential managerial talent.

After initial training, Cover Managers gain a thorough understanding of store operations by providing managerial cover across a cluster of stores. Travel within a defined geographical area is necessary.

Upon completing training, Cover Managers are well-positioned for promotion to Store Manager.

Ideal candidates will have previous supervisory or management experience in retail or a similar environment and be eager to advance their careers in store management.

Key activities:
  • Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Lead by example in promoting and upselling products.
  • Draft rotas in line with payroll budgets.
  • Manage stock effectively.
  • Analyze sales figures and reports.
  • Ensure all company standards are maintained, including merchandising and administration.
  • Work towards targets and achieve KPIs.
  • Assist with recruitment and team development.

  • A hands-on leader with retail or related industry experience.
