Job description

Job Title: PE Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a school in Newcastle or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver dynamic physical education lessons to students of all abilities, fostering a love for physical activity and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  2. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the PE curriculum, ensuring alignment with the OCR specification for GCSE Physical Education. Support students pursuing A-level Physical Education in the sixth-form.
  3. Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, set targets, track achievements, and report to parents and senior staff.
  4. Encourage participation in extracurricular sports activities, organize sports events, inter-school competitions, and fixtures.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Physical Education.
  • Strong knowledge of the OCR specification for GCSE Physical Education.
  • Experience teaching PE at the secondary school level, preferably in the UK.
  • Passion for promoting physical fitness and wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive learning environment.

Pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency.
