Job summary

Oxlip Learning Partnership is seeking a dedicated Cover Manager (non-teaching) to ensure smooth day-to-day school operations in Ipswich. You will lead staff absence management and coordinate cover to maintain high-quality teaching and learning, reporting to the Vice Principal and SLT.

The role requires excellent communication, strong organisation, and problem-solving skills. Experience in line management, administration and data systems is essential; experience in an educational setting is

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of line management, administration and working with data management systems is essential.
• Experience within an educational setting would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of staff absence and deployment of cover across the school, ensuring lessons are appropriately staffed and disruption to learning is minimised.
• Oversee the cover team, coordinate daily cover arrangements, and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to the efficient use of the school’s cover budget.
• Support and develop cover staff and work with colleagues to improve systems and processes.
