Overview

Location: Barking & Dagenham
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Cover Manager & HR Assistant to join the team. This dual role combines the efficient coordination of daily cover with providing vital HR administrative support to ensure smooth operations across the school.

Responsibilities
  • Cover Management: Organise and manage daily cover for absent teaching and support staff; Coordinate internal cover supervisors and liaise with external supply agencies; Maintain accurate cover and absence records, ensuring minimal disruption to learning; Communicate cover arrangements clearly and efficiently with staff.
  • HR Administration: Support with staff recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and preparing documentation; Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and HR records; Assist with managing staff absence and leave records; Provide general HR administrative support to the Business Manager/HR Officer; Ensure compliance with safeguarding, recruitment, and data protection policies.
