Due to continued growth, our client are currently seeking a dedicated NQ – 1yr PQE Serious Injury Solicitors/Legal Executives specialising in Court of Protection matters to join their expanding team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and access to local offices. Collaborating closely with our Partner and Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening our Court of Protection and Private Client Team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing Property and Affairs Deputyships, supporting brain-injured and vulnerable clients, overseeing Trust management, handling tax affairs and accounts, and preparing legal documents such as Personal Injury Trusts and Statutory Wills.

  • Collaborate with the Partner on Deputyships, offering litigation support and the potential to manage an independent caseload, including contentious Deputyship matters.
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients and their families, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Conduct client meetings at various locations including hospitals, homes, and care facilities.
  • Manage client payments, maintain accurate records, forecast spending, and develop budgets.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing their needs and preferences.
  • Supervise and provide feedback to paralegals and trainees, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improving case management procedures and contribute to process enhancements.
