Elevate your legal career with a prestigious role at a top-tier law firm nestled in the heart of Cardiff. This dynamic firm, ranked among the top 500, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Court of Protection Solicitor to join their reputable team.

This role offers a competitive salary DOE and promises a stimulating work environment where each day brings new challenges and the chance to make a tangible difference in clients' lives. The successful candidate will work alongside the National Head of Department and the Cardiff Team Leader, supported by trainees and paralegals.

The firm is looking for an individual who can manage a caseload of Court of Protection files, including health and welfare disputes and appeals against the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Advocacy skills are essential, with confidence to represent clients and coordinate with counsel for complex cases.

Experience in both legal aid and privately funded matters is crucial, as is a commitment to delivering exceptional client care.

Requirements:

• Current Practicing Certificate or equivalent CILEX qualification
• Outstanding communication skills
• Passion for Court of Protection work
• Emotional intelligence due to case sensitivities
• Understanding of client care and legal aid
• Time management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Desirable attributes include Legal Aid Supervisor Status under the Mental Health or Community Care civil contracts and Law Society Accredited Legal Representative status.
