About the Role
Join a leading regional firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence across private client and healthcare law. The firm has a strong commitment to client care and quality legal services, operating across multiple offices with a modern, collaborative culture.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their specialist team in Bristol. Working closely with senior leadership, you will take an independent lead on a busy and meaningful caseload, with support from a dedicated paralegal.

You will:

  • Handle a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, particularly property and financial affairs.
  • Act as deputy and advise on issues relating to capacity, deputyship, and financial decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor a paralegal, delegating work effectively.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with vulnerable individuals, families, and external professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of the department and firm-wide initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years’ PQE in Court of Protection matters.
  • Be confident managing a caseload independently with paralegal support.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism in dealing with vulnerable clients.
  • Be commercially minded and proactive in building the team’s offering.
  • Bring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
