Job description

  • Lead and shape a growing Court of Protection team in Leeds, with clear progression to Partner.
  • Work on exceptionally high-value cases, including complex birth injury matters exceeding £15-£20 million.
  • Benefit from a generous bonus scheme—up to 40% of salary in year one—with flexible hybrid working (three days from home).
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to take ownership of a growing team in Manchester, with strong backing for business development, marketing, and team expansion.

You’ll play a key role in developing the firm’s Legal 500 profile, working on high-value litigation matters, particularly in the serious injury and clinical negligence space. Whether you’re an established Partner or an ambitious Senior Solicitor ready to take the next step, there’s a clear route to leadership with significant growth potential.

With loads of high-value work and a strong referral pipeline, this role offers a rare chance to become the go-to person for Court of Protection work in Leeds while enjoying a manageable caseload, excellent support, and a flexible working structure.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a solicitor with:
  • 6+ years PQE in Court of Protection (will consider Grade B and strong Grade C solicitors).
  • Experience in high-value Court of Protection work, particularly within serious injury and clinical negligence litigation.
  • Knowledge of Deputyship and Trustee matters, pre- and post-settlement.
  • Experience handling applications for statutory wills, gifts, and other property & affairs matters.
  • A strong desire to develop theLeeds office’s presence in Court of Protection work.
  • Leadership experience is ideal, but not essential—more important is the ambition to grow within a management role.

  • Salary DOE, with a generous bonus scheme of up to 20% at Partner level—with the potential to earn up to 40% of salary in year one.
