  • Supporting fee earners in the day-to-day running of Court of Protection files.
  • Drafting applications, witness statements, and general correspondence.
  • Preparing and managing case bundles and court documents.
  • Liaising with clients, families, healthcare professionals, the Court of Protection, and the Office of the Public Guardian.
  • Assisting with the administration of deputyships and trusts.
  • Attending meetings and court hearings as required.
  • Ensuring accurate file management, compliance, and record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Court of Protection team (health and welfare or property and affairs) is highly desirable, though candidates with strong transferrable legal skills will also be considered.
  • Strong communication and client care skills, with the ability to deal sensitively with vulnerable clients and their families
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Confident using legal software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Law degree or relevant legal qualifications (e.g. LPC/SQE) desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
