Job description

We are currently recruiting for a talented Associate Lawyer to join our first class, Court of Protection team in Manchester.

Our Court of Protection team specialises in property and affairs, providing much needed assistance tolook after the best interests of people who lack the mental capacity to make decisions for themselves. Partnering with national charities across the UK, our team is highly rated for the work they do, working alongside our clients to protect and handle their welfare and finances. We provide assistance to those who suffer from various conditions such as learning disabilities, mental illness, brain injuries or dementia.

We are looking for someone to join our specialist team that can advise on all aspects of matters relating to property and affairs within court of protection, including (but not limited to) deputyship applications, statutory wills, gifts, property transactions and personal injury trusts. With this, there will be a caseload to manage, along with assisting our senior lawyers on high-value, sensitive cases. The ability to empathise and communicate clearly and concisely is paramount as the role involves working very closely with our clients, their families and other professionals.

It's extremely vital to have previous experience within property and affairs work in Court of Protection, however, we would consider those who have a background within a related field such as Private Client, Mental Capacity or Personal Injury.
