The role combines leadership with teaching across electrical installation programmes, and responsibility for curriculum planning, quality assurance and developing industry links.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Electrical Installation programmes within a well-established further education college.
• Deliver practical and classroom-based teaching across electrical installation courses.
• Take responsibility for curriculum planning, development and quality assurance.
• Support and supervise teaching staff, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
• Monitor learner attendance, retention, achievement and overall progress.
• Contribute to the development of plumbing, electrical and multi-skills provision.
• Build relationships with employers to ensure programmes meet industry requirements.
• Support student recruitment, enrolment and progression.
• Excellent opportunities for professional development and internal promotion.
• Fully funded Level 5 teaching qualification if required.

You will also contribute to the development of wider construction provision, including plumbing and multi-skills programmes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation, have relevant industry experience and a background in delivering electrical installation training. You will have an assessor qualification, experience of curriculum planning and a desire to develop your leadership career. A Level 5 teaching qualification is not essential, as the college will fully fund and support you in achieving this.
