Job summary

Dunstable Downs Golf Club in Bedfordshire seeks a proactive Course Manager to lead a six-strong greenkeeping team across 20 holes and practice facilities. You will drive delivery of the club’s ambitious environmental and biodiversity goals while ensuring top-quality course condition and member liaison.

The role requires strong leadership, turf knowledge and a commitment to sustainability, with a competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in golf-course maintenance and management.
• PA1/PA2/PA6 pesticide certificates held.
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or above.
• Flexible and cooperative approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the course, practice facilities and surrounding areas with clear leadership and teamwork.
• Prepare and manage budgets, ensure health and safety and environmental compliance.
• Develop pest-management and ecological plans; communicate with members about conditions and plans.
