Tipton Training is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Nurse Course Director to lead our Dental Nurse Program. This key role will involve overseeing curriculum development, managing course delivery, and ensuring high standards of training. The ideal candidate will be a registered and experienced dental nurse with a strong background in education and program management, ideally holding an assessor qualification. The Course Director will also serve as the primary point of contact for course participants and stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional learning experience.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Dental Nurse: Must have current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Educational Qualifications: Relevant teaching or training qualification, such as PGCE or Certificate in Education.
- Assessing Qualification: A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent (preferred but not essential if demonstrable experience in a similar role).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a qualified dental nurse, with at least 2 years in an educational or training role.
- Program Management: Experience managing a dental or healthcare training program, with a track record of successful curriculum development and delivery.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with GDC standards and other regulatory requirements related to dental nurse training in the UK.

- Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead a team, manage resources, and oversee course delivery to ensure consistency and quality.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Course Oversight and Delivery:
- Lead the planning and implementation of the Dental Nurse Program to ensure compliance with GDC standards and Tipton Training’s quality expectations.
- Oversee day-to-day course activities, including lectures, assessments, and practical training sessions.
- Regularly review and update curriculum content to reflect advancements in dental nursing and align with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with instructional staff to introduce innovative teaching methods and hands-on training activities.
- Student Support and Assessment:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, addressing individual needs to foster their professional development.
- Monitor student progress and performance, ensuring timely feedback on assessments and maintaining accurate records.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Supervise and support a team of instructors and assessors, ensuring that they meet performance standards and deliver high-quality training.
- Work closely with the Tipton Training leadership team to develop strategies for program growth and improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Course Promotion:
- Act as a representative of Tipton Training in communicating program outcomes, successes, and opportunities to external partners.
- Work with the marketing and recruitment teams to promote the program and attract prospective students.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Advanced Clinical Knowledge: Deep understanding of dental nursing practices, infection control, and patient care, with an ability to share expertise with students.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to addressing challenges in program delivery and student engagement.
- Digital Literacy: Familiarity with online learning platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant digital tools for training and assessment.
