RPS Group is seeking a full-time Courier to collect and deliver water quality samples. Based in Irlam, the role requires excellent customer service skills and a full UK driving license. The position offers training and a supportive work environment.
Courier
RPS are seeking a Courier to join our growing team. Based at our Irlam Office, you will be working as a full time courier, collecting crates of water quality samples from our clients and delivering them to our laboratories in Bedford and Salford. The working hours for this role are 40hrs per week, Monday to Thursday, approximately between the hours of 15:30 – 01:30. The salary for this role is £27,500 per annum. Overtime rates and benefits are available.

What you’ll be doing
This role focuses on collecting samples of water and wastewater and delivering them to our laboratory for analysis, using refrigerated transport. The vehicle is a Ford Transit sized van. Applicants must have no more than 3 penalty points and have at least 2 years driving experience, ideally from a similar role.
This very important work supports our client’s decision making related to wastewater treatment processes and pollution prevention. Previous experience is not required as full training will be provided. Successful applicants will be provided with PPE and a company smart phone.
This is a customer facing role requiring excellent customer service skills. Applicants must have exceptional organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines. Please note that the work will involve the manual handling of manhole chamber covers and other heavy items. Due to the nature of the work, flexibility regarding working hours is essential including early starts and late finishes as required. Overtime rates are paid accordingly.
