Country Manager - Vietnam

A well-established international company specializing in furniture, home accessories, and lighting is seeking a Country Manager to lead its sourcing and supply chain operations in Vietnam. With a strong presence across Europe and Asia, our company focuses on developing high-quality products for leading brands and retail chains.

As we continue expanding our global supply network, we are looking for a dynamic leader to build and manage our Vietnam operations, focusing on supplier development, sourcing strategies, and quality control.

The Role

As the Country Manager Vietnam, you will play a crucial role in establishing and managing the sourcing and procurement office in Vietnam. You will work closely with teams in Asia and Europe to develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring cost efficiency, quality assurance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for furniture and home accessories to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability.

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with local suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to optimize value and minimize risks.

  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities and mitigate challenges.

  • Build and lead a team of sourcing and quality professionals, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, and logistics to align sourcing activities with business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, ethical sourcing policies, and company guidelines.

  • Track and report key performance metrics such as cost savings, supplier reliability, and inventory levels to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders and brand partners to drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management, sourcing, or procurement within the furniture industry.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team building and management.

  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Deep knowledge of supplier networks, industry standards, and production processes in Vietnams furniture sector.

  • Fluency in English at a negotiation level; knowledge of Vietnamese or Chinese is a plus.

  • Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with international teams and suppliers.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
