Location – Hybrid (Average 1-2 days per week in Swindon)

Contract Type – Permanent

About the role

  • Property & Lease Management: End-to-end property lifecycle support (acquisition to closure), lease obligations, renewals, rent reviews, freehold and serviced office management, and internal team occupation.
  • Transactions & Disposals: Management of lettings, property disposals, and dilapidations claims; strategic lease planning and legal coordination.
  • Asset & Capital Planning: Property asset management, capital repairs, Net Book Values, tax considerations, and budget planning in collaboration with Finance (Capex & Opex).
  • Valuations & Reporting: Preparation of property valuations, reports, and specialist advice on rating, planning, and legal matters.
  • Portfolio & Data Management: Development of a portfolio management system with comprehensive records, plus SAP and vendor management oversight.
  • Consultancy & Internal Advisory: Appointment of consultants, provision of property advice to internal companies, and collaboration with legal/internal departments.
  • Contracts & Service Management: Formulation of SLAs and contracts for team services, including service charge and invoice reviews.
  • Compliance & Sustainability: Project management, health & safety compliance, environmental legislation adherence (e.g., MEES, EPCs), audits, and performance improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements and Experience

  • Professional Qualifications: Degree in Estate Management, MRICS Chartered Surveyor, and Health & Safety certifications (IOSH, Construction Skills, RWE assessments).
  • Industry Experience: Senior-level expertise in Lease Management, Property Management, and Commercial Facilities Management within RWE and external markets.
  • Leadership & Team Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate new teams, act as a team player, and manage with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strategic & Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiator and strategic thinker focused on enhancing value, minimising liabilities, and defining property requirements for third-party contracts.
  • Project & Problem Solving Abilities: Skilled in problem-solving within project environments and adept at working independently in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
  • Communication & Organisation: Highly organised, detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration & Harmonisation: Works closely with Technical & Operational FM teams, promotes process harmonisation between UK and Germany, and identifies efficiency opportunities across RWE's portfolio.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet proficiency, and experience managing properties.

  • An expected starting salary from £65,000 to £100,000 depending on experience and up to 15% annual bonus.
