Job summary

New Appointments Group is hiring a Transfer Operator - Forklift Driver for our Rochester site. The role involves moving raw materials from silos to packing lines and transferring finished goods into the warehouse, ensuring materials flow smoothly and safely.

You will work on a rotating full-time shift 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, require a valid 1.5 tonne Counterbalance Forklift Licence, and demonstrate strong teamwork and attention to detail in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Valid 1.5 tonne Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Essential).
• Proven experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
• Experience in production/manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Flexible and able to cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials from silos to packing lines.
• Move finished palletised goods into warehouse locations.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently per site procedures.
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report faults.
• Support stocktakes and production line activities.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.
• Label, record and track pallet movements.
• Keep work area clean, safe and well-organised.
