RE Group in Bourton-on-the-Water is seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Yard Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. No prior experience is essential as training is provided, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Key duties include loading/unloading vehicles, operating a Counterbalance forklift, and assisting customers in the yard. The role offers training, long-term career prospects, and a pension from day one.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
• Picking and preparing customer orders for collection and delivery.
• Assisting customers within the yard and providing excellent service.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Handling stock and building materials safely.
• Supporting the wider team with general yard and warehouse duties.
• Carrying out daily forklift safety and equipment checks before operation.

Our client, a well‑established and highly respected builders' merchant based in Bourton‑on‑the‑Water, has an exciting opportunity for a Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Yard Assistant to join their small team on a full‑time, permanent basis due to continued business growth.

Qualifications

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A Counterbalance Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential. Evidence of existing licence will need to be shown if held already. Training can be given)
• Previous experience within a warehouse, yard, builders' merchant or construction environment would be advantageous
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures

Responsibilities

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 4:30pm
• Alternate Saturdays: 7:30am to 11:30am
