Information about the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CT Case Officer (CTCO) to work within the Counter Terrorism Unit South East (CTPSE) under the Prevent Strand of the United Kingdom’s Counter-Terrorism strategy (CONTEST). You will connect CT policing, neighbourhood policing, and communities to prevent exploitation by extremists; working with local authorities and community organizations to support and protect vulnerable individuals.
The core responsibilities of a CTCO include Case Management, Engagement, and Police Support.
Prevent CTCOs play a key role in assessing case suitability for Local Authority management and referring cases to a Channel Coordinator. Strong safeguarding experience would be advantageous for coordinating between organizations.
