Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe in Portadown is hiring a Counter Sales Assistant to join a friendly team focused on delivering great service.

You will assist customers, provide product knowledge, handle stock and keep the counter spotless and compliant with hygiene standards. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £12.75 and opportunities to grow within the food retail sector.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our team in Portadown. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is looking to develop a career within the food retail industry.

Working within a busy retail environment, you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining product quality and supporting the day-to-day running of the store.

Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour

Key Duties

• Providing excellent customer service, offering product advice, recommendations and product knowledge.
• Preparing meat products and maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Ensuring counter and pre-pack areas are maintained to the highest hygiene and food safety standards.

Ideal Candidate

• Confident taking responsibility and supporting the Store Manager in their absence.
• Flexible, organised and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong communicator with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative.
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the trade.
