The Pre-Litigated File Handler role involves working within a team of fraud specialists and legal support staff, managing a caseload of pre-litigation cases across various fraud types. The role requires following defined processes, a forensic and analytical approach, and high commercial awareness, especially regarding fixed fee work. Key responsibilities include decision-making within set timeframes, aligning with case strategy and client interests, and working strategically to shape the future of counter-fraud efforts.

The caseload includes suspected fraudulent insurance claims of various types.

Key Accountabilities

Handling cases from identification to resolution or litigation, including:

• Strategic Excellence
• Reviewing evidence thoroughly throughout cases
• Setting case strategies in line with team guidelines
• Identifying litigation opportunities and complex cases
• Recognizing client trends and opportunities to enhance client relationships
• Managing files per client guidelines and ensuring satisfaction
• Completing all internal and client reports accurately and timely
• Achieving KPIs and client satisfaction goals

Technical Excellence

• Collaborating with relevant parties for investigations
• Meeting procedural and investigative deadlines
• Protecting client interests in litigation
• Proactively managing cases from receipt to resolution
• Delegating tasks effectively
• Maintaining case management systems accurately
• Adhering to policies and regulations, including SRA standards
• Working efficiently within fixed fee structures to ensure profitability

Working Hours

35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. The role is based at Bolton, Parklands Office, with at least one day per week in the office.
