Job summary

Berry Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a Meat Wholesaler for a Counter Balance Forklift Truck Driver at White Roding. The role is Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00, 14.00 per hour, with a temp-to-perm pathway.

The site is in a rural area with limited transport links, so own transport is essential. PPE and Food Safety training are provided, and you will work in a busy chilled warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift qualification is required.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual work.
• Accurate with paperwork and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counter balance forklift to load and unload lorries and move goods within the warehouse.
• Check delivery paperwork and meat temperatures to ensure quality and safety.
• Rotate stock, perform stock checks and monitor product dates.
• Keep warehouse and goods-in areas clean and tidy to maintain hygiene.
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Assist colleagues in other departments as needed.

Our Client a Meat Wholesaler based in White Roding are looking for a Counter Balance Fork Lift Truck Driver.

Working Days Monday to Friday 07.00-15.00 Paying £14.00ph.

The site location is in a rural area, White Roding with very poor public transport links so own transport is essential.

The work will involve

• Using a counter balance to load and unload lorries and safely distribute produce to warehouse areas.
• Checking all delivery paperwork and meat temperatures.
• Rotating stock, completing stock checks and monitoring product dates.
• Keeping warehouse and goods-in areas clean and tidy
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Helping colleagues in other departments where required.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Forklift qualified
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Accurate when completing paperwork
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a busy chilled food warehouse environment
• Flexible and willing to turn their hand to different jobs

All PPE is provided as well as Food Safety training.

This is a Temp to Perm position.
