Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Counsellor/Psychotherapist to provide high-quality counselling to customers over short to longer terms. You will work independently and within a multidisciplinary clinical team, liaising with internal and external services and safeguarding agencies.

The role requires registration as a BACP/NCPS/UKCP professional, with at least 3 years post-qualification experience, and involves flexible duties, supervision, and contributing to wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist status required.
• NCPS professional accreditation held.
• UKCP registered psychotherapist/counsellor.
• Minimum 3 years full-time post-qualification counselling experience.
• Training in incident support.
• Corporate experience and business understanding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality counselling or brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to drive evidence-based interventions.
• Offer face-to-face sessions and other models of service delivery.
• Follow case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and therapy team.
• Operate within sessional limits based on client benefits.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Deliver wellbeing support and coaching, including group psychoeducation remotely.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Lead remote presentations, workshops, and training on mental wellbeing.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and service policies.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to improve client and employee experiences.

NCPS Professional Accredited Registrants

Your Role:

As a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, you will provide high-quality, effective, and safe counselling to Bupa customers over the short, medium, or longer term. • Offer ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Deliver group psychoeducation, raise mental health awareness, and promote mental wellbeing through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa's service policies and procedures.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

Qualifications:

• BACP Accredited Counsellors/Psychotherapists
• NCPS Professional Accredited Registrants
• UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellors/Psychotherapists
• 3 years of full-time post-qualification counselling experience.
