Job summary

Bupa in Dartford Mindplace is seeking a Counsellor/Psychotherapist to provide high-quality counselling to customers. The role involves working independently and within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with internal and external services and safeguarding agencies.

Essential accreditation and 3 years post-qualification experience are required. The package includes excellent benefits and a flexible schedule with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with NCPS/UKCP registration and 3 years of post-qualification counselling experience.
• Desirable: training in incident support and corporate experience.
• Experience in general adult mental health with evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality counselling or brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver assessments and formulations to drive evidence-based interventions.
• Offer models of service delivery including face-to-face sessions and signposting.
• Follow sessional limits based on client benefits and coordinate referrals.
• Conduct one-off assessments, group psychoeducation and remote presentations.
• Work autonomously within guidelines and attend supervision and team meetings.
• Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to improve client experiences.

Job Description: Counsellor - Mindplace (Face to Face) East Suite ,Cotton Lake House, Crossways Business Park, Dartford, DA2 6QH Permanent Competitive salary + Fantastic benefits Part-time hours available: Minimum of 3 days per week

Session Requirements:

We can offer sessions 8am - 4pm or 2pm - 10pm Weekends 8am - 4pm Either one 2pm-10pm weekday shift or weekend day shift required 5 appointments per day

Your Role:

As a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, you will provide high-quality, effective, and safe counselling to Bupa customers over the short, medium, or longer term. You will work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, liaising daily with internal and external services, organisations, and safeguarding agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality counselling or brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to drive evidence-based interventions.
• Offer different models of service delivery, including face to face sessions Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the wider therapy team.
• Follow sessional limits based on the client’s company benefits.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Deliver group psychoeducation, raise mental health awareness, and promote mental wellbeing through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• BACP Accredited Counsellors/Psychotherapists NCPS Professional Accredited Registrants UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellors/Psychotherapists 3 years of full-time post-qualification counselling experience. Please note, accreditation is required at the stage of application.

Desirable:

• Training in incident support. Corporate experience and business understanding.
