Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (Face to Face) to provide high-quality counselling to customers across short, medium and longer-term needs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions, including group sessions and wellbeing support.

The role offers hybrid working with on-site sessions at Serpentine Green, Peterborough, and remote options where appropriate, with both part-time and full-time hours and a focus on

Qualifications

• BACP Accredited Counsellors/Psychotherapists recognised for clinical practice.
• NCPS Professional Accredited Registrants required at time of application.
• UKCP Registered Psychotherapists/Counsellors recognised by governing body.
• At least 3 years of full-time post-qualification counselling experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality counselling or brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to drive evidence-based interventions.
• Offer different models of service delivery, including face to face sessions.
• Adhere to case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and therapy team.
• Follow sessional limits based on client benefits.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Deliver group psychoeducation and mental health awareness activities.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and policies.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.

Full-time roles are available, offered on a hybrid basis — combining both onsite and remote working

Session Requirements

We can offer sessions from Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:00 or 14:00 to 22:00

Weekends 08:30-17:00

At least 1 in every 3 but may be less depending on the location

Your Role:

As a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, you will provide high-quality, effective, and safe counselling to Bupa customers over the short, medium, or longer term. You will work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, liaising daily with internal and external services, organisations, and safeguarding agencies.

• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Deliver group psychoeducation, raise mental health awareness, and promote mental wellbeing through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

Qualifications

Essential:

• BACP Accredited Counsellors/Psychotherapists
• NCPS Professional Accredited Registrants
• UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellors/Psychotherapists
• 3 years of full-time post-qualification counselling experience.

Desirable:

• Training in incident support.
• Corporate experience and business understanding.
