Job description

The Health, Work & Wellbeing Department are looking to recruit a Band 6 Counsellor on a full time permanent basis! The Health, Work and Wellbeing department is a team of clinicians, practitioners and administration staff who support Trust employees and client staff throughout their employment. This role is to support the Health, Work and Wellbeing provision and activities and ensure that all Health and wellbeing activity is relevant for service delivery. As well as processing information, where appropriate as per Policy and Procedures.

Responsibilities
  • The post holder will be required to support appropriate Health and Wellbeing services to staff and managers.
  • The post holder will assist in the delivery of a safe, effective, quality occupational health service.
  • The post holder will strive to support and deliver counselling and wellbeing provision to staff and managers and work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the organisation delivers 5-star patient care.
  • Supporting and driving change within health and wellbeing., To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and as part of the health and wellbeing team.
  • Manage a caseload of clients who are presenting with moderate mental health difficulties which include Stress, anxiety, depression etc.
  • To support and assist with onward referrals to other services, as appropriate (mental health services, GP etc.)
  • To provide a range of evidence-based health and wellbeing interventions.
  • To ensure that the work and practices are patient focused, responsive to need and culturally sensitive.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Trust and health, work and wellbeing objectives.
  • To follow Trust and health, work and wellbeing guidelines in relation to confidentiality and record keeping practices.
  • To audit appropriate health and wellbeing information, publishing findings where appropriate.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of the health, work and wellbeing services.
  • Take ownership for new and development of health and wellbeing procedures, including therapy interventions required for service delivery.
  • Seek customer service feedback from designated areas of responsibility and make recommendations to the Assistant Director of Health, Work and Wellbeing and wider senior leadership teams.
Teaching & Training Responsibilities
  • Assist in the induction and development of the Health, Work and Wellbeing team.
  • Prepared to develop personal skills and experience through working with others in the health, work and wellbeing department.
Research & Audit
  • Contribute and support in audits as required by SEQOHS.
