Job description

Experienced School Counsellors/Psychotherapists & Play Therapists Needed

If you are BACP Accredited or well on the way to becoming accredited, we would be interested in hearing from you. Equally, if you are an experienced and highly qualified Play Therapist, we would be pleased to receive your details.

The Valley Trust (VT), a not-for-profit organisation, was founded nearly 40 years ago to provide high-quality counselling support to children in schools in Surrey, but since then we have expanded to serve schools in Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire.

We are looking for experienced counsellors to join our team of self-employed sub-contracted counsellors to work in the schools that contract Valley Trust to provide counselling services in term time.

We adhere to the BACP Ethical Principles of counselling and foster the Personal Moral Qualities as specified in the BACP Ethical Framework. Our Counsellors each bring a range of valuable additional skills from relevant settings and they utilise their skills within our Core Framework.

Currently, there are contracts needing to be fulfilled by the right candidates in Hillingdon, Farnborough, and Oxted - all working with children aged between 4 and 12, but we are always on the lookout for the right people to join our network.

The minimum weekly contracted hours are 3 per school and our counsellors typically work in between 1 and 3 schools each week for between 3 and 28 hours per week.

Please contact Ally Silver for further details.
