Job summary

Pregnancy Options Centre in Chichester seeks a compassionate Counselling Team Lead to oversee and develop our counselling service. You will lead the counselling team, manage referrals and client pathways, oversee safeguarding, and contribute to strategic development.

The role combines leadership with a small clinical caseload and offers hybrid working. The role is 21 hours per week with a salary of £35,100 FTE (£19,656 pro rata) and 150 hours of holiday per year pro rata plus public holidays,

Qualifications

• Qualified counsellor with at least 5 years' experience.
• Familiar with BACP/ACC ethical frameworks and standards.
• Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
• Experienced in safeguarding and confidential record-keeping.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Competent in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to the counselling team.
• Manage referrals and client pathways.
• Oversee safeguarding and contribute to service development.
• Deliver strategic direction for the counselling service.
• Maintain a small clinical caseload alongside leadership duties.
