Role Overview:

This role can be Home based or Hybrid depending on your proximity to an NEC office. We are seeking a Council Tax or Business Rates specialist with a background in Revenues to support our clients with software issues and inquiries, building strong relationships and delivering excellent customer service. The role involves liaising with development and product teams to improve our software and enhance customer satisfaction.

You should have experience in Council Tax and/or Business Rates, possibly as an assessor or system administrator, and knowledge of NEC Revenues and Benefits system is a plus. We offer a fun, diverse workplace with benefits, training, and support for your wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance, application support, and guidance to NEC customers
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of application environments and support issues within SLAs
• Understand customer contracts and resolve incidents/problems accordingly
• Translate customer requirements into workarounds and fixes
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth through additional services

This role can be split 50/50 between office-based in Bracknell and home-based work.

Essential Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of Revenues and Benefits software
• Good understanding of Revenues Legislation, Council Tax, and Non-Domestic Rates
• Ability to prioritize urgent calls and manage issues to resolution
• Experience working with the Public Sector

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of software development principles within ISO 9001 environments
• SQL knowledge
