The Archbishops Council provides leadership, helps drive the vision of the Church of England through communications, mission, ministry, education and more. The Archbishops Council is one of the UK's largest grant-givers, working to support the vision, work and growth of the Church.

We are currently looking for two exceptional individuals to join the Archbishops' Council of the Church of England:

1. One will bring a strategic perspective and an understanding of the Church of England's mission and ministry, and take a role on the Strategic Mission and Ministry Investment Board charged with working with dioceses and partners to develop proposals for investment to support the Church's vision and strategy.

We are looking for experienced trustees with a track record of strategic insight who understand how to contribute to the governance of the charity and particularly a large national entity with a distributed nature.

We are also looking for Members of the Audit and Risk Committee, who will not sit as Archbishops' Council Members, but will have a role in scrutiny of the work of the Council. Here we are looking for individuals with a good understanding of the range of risks, including financial risks, and experience of bringing challenge and support in a constructive manner.

We are keen to speak to people who bring a lively Christian faith, a passion for the vision and strategy of the Church of England and for the mission and ministry of the Church.
