Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Cost Manager to support the Head of Cost and Estimating at programme and contract level. You will help manage budgets, actual costs, forecasts and Earned Value Management to enable successful delivery of the HS2 project.

You will work with delivery teams and supply chains to develop cost performance reports, ensure governance compliance, and provide technical support across the cost control function on major contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management or project control within a major project.
• Knowledge of Project Controls, Commercial and Finance processes.
• Knowledge of multiple construction contract types (NEC, amendments) and their benefits to client organisations.
• Familiarity with core project controls functions: baseline maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change management, risk management, reporting and document control.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Cost and Estimating at Programme and Contract level.
• Assist with managing budgets, actual costs, forecasts and EVM to support delivery.
• Develop contract level performance reports showing EVM, forecast costs and EAC pressures.
• Ensure cost performance processes align with current governance and deliverables.
• Provide technical support to Project Controls Managers on cost performance.
• Collaborate with the supply chain to enhance cost performance capabilities.
• Capture and present lessons learnt to the team.
