We are currently recruiting for Cost Managers to join our London-based Communities and Local Government Cost Management Team, supporting high-profile and iconic projects across the central and local government sector. We welcome applications for both full and part-time positions, including flexible working options.

The team handles a variety of projects for notable public sector organizations, including refurbishment of listed buildings, office fit-outs, high-volume residential projects, and master planning within cost management and cost assurance.

Typical duties for the Cost Manager include:

  • Commercial delivery of various projects
  • Establishing professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders
  • Managing cost aspects of contracts in line with project objectives and policies
  • Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting
  • Monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications
  • Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives
  • Managing contract changes effectively, maintaining governance and best practices
  • Driving improvements in forecast and budget accuracy
  • Providing commercial support and knowledge to stakeholders
  • Negotiating and finalizing project accounts

Requirements include a proven track record in cost management/quantity surveying across project lifecycles, a degree or HNC qualification, and ideally professional accreditation (MRICS or similar). Ability to manage multiple projects successfully is essential.
