Job Description

Due to increased opportunities and demand in the Energy & Natural Resources division, we are recruiting Cost Managers to join our growing, supportive team. Our nuclear client is leading industry change, and we are eager to speak with individuals experienced in cost management. Candidates will be required to work at our Warrington office three days a week.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To ensure client objectives are met through effective cost management services.

Scope:

Cost Managers handle projects of varying size and complexity, providing advisory services where appropriate, with significant project scales.

Key Accountabilities:

• Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project parties.
• Administer contracts in line with project goals and policies.
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
• Monitor and manage cost variance and cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
• Collaborate with teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
• Manage contract changes effectively, maintaining governance and best practices.
• Improve forecast and budget accuracy.
• Provide commercial support to stakeholders.
• Negotiate and finalize final accounts.
• Manage commissions as needed.

Internal Management Responsibilities:

• Ensure key information is recorded in internal databases.
• Identify and suggest process improvements.

Experience and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with contract management (NEC3 preferred).
• Change and cost management expertise.
• Knowledge of valuation, procurement, reporting, and governance.
• Collaborative approach and a focus on best practices.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent.
• Professional membership or working towards one.
• Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
