Job Description

Due to increased opportunities and demand in the Energy & Natural Resources division, we are recruiting Cost Managers to join a diverse and supportive team during a period of significant growth. Our nuclear client is leading industry change, and we are eager to speak with individuals experienced in cost management to explore what Turner & Townsend can offer. Candidates will need to be present at our client office in Warrington three days a week.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To ensure client objectives are met through effective cost management services.

Scope

Cost Managers handle projects of varying scale and complexity, providing advisory services where appropriate, with significant project value depending on the sector.

Key Accountabilities:

• Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project parties.
• Administer contracts in line with project goals and policies.
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion within budget.
• Monitor and manage cost variances and cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver project KPIs, including cost control and value engineering.
• Manage contract changes effectively, maintaining governance and best practices.
• Improve forecast and budget accuracy.
• Offer sound commercial support to stakeholders.
• Negotiate and finalize final accounts.
• Manage commissions as needed.

Internal Management Accountabilities:

• Ensure key information from each commission is recorded in the internal database.
• Identify and suggest process improvements.
