A global professional services company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial contracts and lead post-contract activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, familiarity with NEC contracts, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Manage and assist with commercial contracts, procurement, and negotiations in an NEC environment.
Lead post-contract commercial activities, including payment approvals, cost assessments, and contract changes.
Support contractors in maintaining transparency and data-driven processes.
Identify cost-saving strategies and optimize contract performance.
Provide data-driven cost management insights to support key decision-making.
Be an integral part of a team responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
Support business objectives by delivering value for money in all circumstances.
Carry out duties efficiently, adhering to processes and procedures.
Ensure compliance with established commercial, procurement, and contractual strategies.
Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality Standards.
Operate processes for the selection, appointment, and management of construction and engineering contractors, individually or as part of a team.
Procurement responsibilities include advising on procurement strategy, assembling tender lists, preparing tender documents, managing queries, conducting tender evaluations, and preparing contracts.
Post-contract quantity surveying duties include scrutinizing interim payment applications, preparing certificates, managing change control, producing cost reports and forecasts, and assisting in early warnings, instructions, and compensation events.
Attend progress meetings and promote commercial awareness throughout the project.
Support dispute resolution processes and contract close-out strategies as required.
What We're Looking For
Experience in Quantity Surveying & Estimating, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Degree-qualified with ongoing or completed chartered status.
Familiarity with NEC contracts and cost management best practices.
Proactive team player with problem-solving skills and adaptability.
