Senior Estimator (Engineering / Manufacturing Sector)
Wigston

Are you an experienced Estimator with a strong engineering or manufacturing background?

We're working with a well-established electro-mechanical manufacturer in Wigston.

As part of their ongoing growth, they're looking for a mechanically minded Estimator who can confidently manage project costings, liaise with suppliers and support the engineering team with commercially sound decisions.

Please note: this role is not suitable for graduates or entry-level candidates. We're looking for someone with hands-on estimating experience with the UK market - candidates must have full right to work without restrictions and we do NOT offer sponsorship.

The Role:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for complex projects, materials, labour and timelines.
• Assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Interpret technical drawings and work with engineers.
• Source component pricing and manage cost databases.
• Ensure all estimations match customer expectations and budgets.

We're Looking For:

• A proven background in estimating within engineering or industrial manufacturing
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to break down technical requirements
• Familiarity with production processes, supply chains and technical specifications.
• Clear communication skills and high attention to detail.
• The confidence to take ownership of estimating responsibilities from day one.
