Estimating Manager

As an Estimating Manager reporting to the Director of Rail, you will ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates for new projects, collaborating closely with project management and engineering teams.

This role offers hybrid working with occasional presence at our Warwick Head Office.

What you’ll do:

• Support the production and submission of accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects
• Manage the estimating process at bid, project, or scheme level
• Challenge cost estimates produced by SMEs in Delivery and Engineering
• Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates
• Minimize selling costs and response times using standard processes and pricing tools
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and proposals
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers on project plans and schedules
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information

Who you are:

You have proven experience in a similar estimating role, with strong skills in cost modeling and analysis. As an expert in Excel, you possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to facilitate accurate decision-making.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in Transport, Utilities, Telecoms, Construction, or similar industries in large projects
• Expertise in Excel
• Strong mathematical skills
• Excellent communication skills in office, site, and client environments
• Full clean driving license with flexibility to work at HQ as needed
