Qualifications

About the Opportunity:
NRL is recruiting for a talented Cost Engineer on behalf of one of our esteemed clients in Suffolk. Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Oversee cost management activities for the work portfolio, including cost monitoring, control, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce monthly reports that provide intelligent, data-driven insights into project costs, supporting effective decision-making.
  • Project Support: Work closely with project teams to provide timely and accurate cost information that supports the successful delivery of projects.
  • Cost Reconciliation: Reconcile cost data across various systems, ensuring alignment between estimates, forecasts, and actuals.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with high safety standards and regulations, working within highly regulated environments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum HNC/HND in a cost-related discipline or relevant experience in project cost management. MACostE is desirable.
  • Broad experience across the entire project lifecycle, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between time, cost, and the commercial aspects of the project life cycle.
  • Proficiency in Primavera for scheduling and SAP Finance for project management.
  • Experience with Earned Value Analysis and cost reconciliation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management.
