Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme in Glasgow. The role sits within Project Controls and involves developing forecasts, monitoring costs, and supporting financial reporting to help keep the project affordable.

The position is hybrid with three days per week in the Glasgow City Centre office, and requires SC clearance. Experience with CEMAR and NEC contracts would be beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within a Project Controls environment and understanding the importance of aligning cost forecasts with programme delivery.

  • Good reporting and presentation skills.

We are seeking a Cost Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme, supporting the delivery of complex capital projects within a highly regulated environment.

Working as part of a Project Controls team, you will collaborate with Project Managers and Project Planners to develop accurate forecasts, monitor project costs, support financial reporting activities, and help ensure ongoing project affordability.

Required Experience
  • Ability to communicate cost and performance information clearly to project teams, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of cost engineering, cost control, and cost analysis principles.
  • Experience working within a Project Controls environment and understanding the importance of aligning cost forecasts with programme delivery.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good reporting and presentation skills.

Experience with CEMAR and knowledge of NEC contracts would be beneficial.

Location

The role is Hybrid where 3 days per week will be spent in the office in Glasgow City Centre.
