Overview
Join the team delivering the UK's Nuclear New Build Programme at Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. As part of the Integrated Project Controls function, the Cost Engineer supports cost management, forecasting, reporting, and governance across major project areas including Central, Site, Engineering, MEH, Nuclear Island, Conventional Island, Balance of Plant, I&C, and Commissioning.
You will help maintain the single source of delivery performance information and support consistent implementation of project controls across the programme.
Principal Accountabilities
- Cost & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate cost and forecast data aligned to the CBS/WBS.
- Ensure all cost and forecast information is correctly maintained in systems such as EcoSys and SAP.
- Produce cost and forecasting reports to the required reporting cycle, including commentary on performance drivers and issues.
- Support the Trend & Change process, including project‑level analysis, performance indicators, and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Provide analytical support to Senior and Lead Cost Engineers through interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data.
- Deliver clear insights to support decision‑making using commercial and technical information.
Collaboration & Governance
- Work effectively across organisational boundaries, supporting a culture of Trust, Transparency, and Teamwork.
- Apply project controls principles and ensure alignment with wider management processes.
- Promote good governance, risk awareness, and compliance.
- Support education and continuous improvement of project controls reporting.
- Ensure correct handling and protective marking of Sensitive Nuclear Information in line with EDF policies.

Qualifications & Experience
- HND or equivalent in project management, project controls, engineering, or related field.
- Experience in a project management or project controls environment.
- Experience on major construction projects desirable but not essential.
- Nuclear industry experience desirable but not essential.
