Job summary

Fletchers Group is expanding and seeking a meticulous Cost Draftsperson to join our team in the UK. Based in a hybrid setup with offices across major cities, you will prepare detailed bills of costs, review opponent disputes, and help manage costs budgets to support access to justice for clients.

You will work alongside colleagues across departments, maintain deadlines, and contribute to profitability while upholding the firm’s high client-care standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience drafting bills of costs and costs budgets.
• Experience with Proclaim software.
• Experience with Cost Master software.
• Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed bills of costs, costs schedules and estimates.
• Review opponent’s points of dispute and prepare replies.
• Prepare costs budgets and review opponents’ budgets and related documents.
• Negotiate using completed precedents and draft responses.
• Attend CCMC hearings when required.
• Ensure all work meets the highest quality standards and deadlines.
• Manage daily workloads and maintain service level agreements.
• Communicate updates to clients and maintain good internal relationships.
• Help maximise profitability while maintaining high client care and firm policies.
