Cost Controller – Offshore Wind (Onsite, 16-month)

Job summary

ERSG Ltd is recruiting a Cost Controller (Outside IR35) in Swindon, with 2–3 days per fortnight travel to London. The role is on-site for a 16-month contract (01/09/2026 - 31/12/2027) to support a major UK offshore wind project. You will forecast, budget, monitor costs, and report financial performance across delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project finance and budgeting, advanced Excel, and strong stakeholder communication skills. Energy sector experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in project finance, cost control, or financial analysis within infrastructure, engineering, construction, or energy.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support project cost forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
• Work with Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams to track performance and manage change impacts.
• Assist with project financing activities, including funding drawdowns, invoice processing, and monthly reconciliations.
• Support contractor cost verification, financial controls, and stakeholder reporting across major offshore wind projects.
