Job description

Opportunity to join our oil & gas Operator client on a major carbon carbon and storage project as a Site Cost Controller, where your expertise in cost management will play a crucial role in project success.

Role Overview

• Validate Contractors' progress claims and provide accurate cost reports to the Contract Manager.
• Execute timely and accurate validation of contractors' progress claims and cost control activities.
• Update Contracts Cost reports according to actual values and forecasts, highlighting potential budget overruns.
• Verify and validate Vendors and Contractors' progress claims after quantities certification by the Construction/Engineering team.
• Update cost documentation and allocate costs to the appropriate cost elements.
• Report to Project Services Manager, Construction Manager, Offshore Construction Manager, or Construction Site Representative.

Skills & Qualifications

• Cost & Schedule Management: Proficient in capital cost estimates and budgeting.
• IT Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office Package.
• Language Proficiency: Intermediate knowledge of English; knowledge of the project country national language is preferred.
• Quality Assurance: Basic knowledge of QA/QC Construction Management Systems.
• Contracting Knowledge: Familiarity with variations and claims resolutions.

Education & Experience

• Technical Diploma required.
• Cost control intermediate course preferred.
• Experience: Good grounding in cost control role within the oil & gas industry..
• PAYE contract on long term project.
• Competitive daily rate based on qualifications and experience.
