Scottish Power Renewables are seeking a Cost Controller to join the EA2 project, based in London or Glasgow with hybrid working. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role under inside IR35 with umbrella and PAYE options.

The role involves supporting cost control, budgeting, and SAP-related tasks, while coordinating with the Cost Control team, Planning and Risk Manager to monitor project issues and progress.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and Document Management Systems.
• Experience in cost control for large EPC projects.
• Graduate in Engineering or Business Management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to influence at various levels of an organisation.
• Desirable: Experience in Offshore wind projects.
• Desirable: Experience with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Monitor the project in its different areas to control the allocated budget.
• Liaise with Package Managers/Budget Holder to prepare monthly Best Estimate.
• Work with Cost Control, Planning and Risk Manager to understand project issues and monitor progress.
• Support creation and maintenance of the project budget and SAP availability.
• Support and maintain invoicing & payment procedures, including blocking/unblocking invoices.
• Coordinate and verify the month-end Value of Work Done.
• Provide ad-hoc cost control support to the project.
• Monitor open POs and close POs when needed; annual rollover of POs.
• Manage extraordinary payment requests.

Main Purpose of Job

Providing support to the Project in the implementation of the Business standards for cost control management.

Key Tasks

• Monitoring the project in its different areas to control the allocated budget
• Liaising with ‘Package Managers/Budget Holder’ to prepare monthly Best Estimate
• Working with the rest of the Cost Control team, Planning and Risk Manager to understand project issues and monitor their progress.
• Providing support in the creation and maintenance of the project budget and SAP availability.

• Coordinating and verifying the completion of the month-end Value of Work Done.
• Providing ad-hoc ‘cost control’ support to the Project.

Key Criteria

Essential

• Knowledge of IT applications (SAP, Microsoft Office, Document Management Systems).
• Knowledge of Cost Control for large EPC projects.
• Graduate in Engineering, Business Management degree or equivalent qualifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence at various levels of an organisation.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Desirable

• Experience in Offshore wind projects.
• Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
