Join this leading food manufacturer, work closely with the Factory Manager, and cost the finance function working with teams across the UK and Europe.

This is a newly created role of Cost Accountant that will report to the Factory Manager. This is a leading European food manufacturer of private label ambient and chilled products sold into all major UK retailers. There is currently a lot of positive change and factory investment happening in the business, and therefore this newly created role is essential in supporting the factory operation.

The role of the Cost Accountant is to essentially track, report, and analyse budget variances. You will be tasked with preparing and regularly reviewing monthly profit and loss, as well as the preparation of other month-end reporting.

To be successful in the role:

• Preferably you would be degree educated but more important is four to five years management accounting experience
• Ideally qualified with ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Ideally food manufacturing experience, however general manufacturing experience will be considered
• Good IT skills particularly with Excel - and a real preference for SAP working knowledge
