We're looking for a Cost Accountant to join our team in Kings Hill, UK.

Responsibilities

• Support Smart Pricing Decisions - Maintain and validate customer models to drive accurate pricing and profitability analysis.
• Deliver Clear Margin Insights - Conduct in-depth margin analysis to spot trends, highlight variances, and guide strategic decisions.
• Own Budgeting Excellence - Develop, track, and maintain budgets aligned with key financial targets and business goals.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally - Work closely with procurement, commercial, and operations teams to gather and interpret financial data.
• Provide Sharp Variance Analysis - Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure Financial Accuracy - Apply robust costing methods and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Uphold Data Integrity - Champion data governance and ensure quality assurance across financial models and systems.
• Support Senior Leadership - Assist in preparing insightful financial reports and engaging presentations for management.
• Drive Business Performance - Focus on financial performance, accurate cost allocation, and deep profitability analysis across all functions.

Requirements

Experience we look for:

Essential

• CIMA qualification or a related qualification.
• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Experience in the fresh produce industry.
• Experience in commercial focussed accounting and financial analysis is a plus.
• Intermediate power query skills desirable.
