Job Description

Cost Accountant:

  • Maintain and analyze cost records, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Conduct variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted costs and provide recommendations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Provide financial projections and scenario analysis to support business planning.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate cost estimations for new products.
  • Track inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels.
  • Analyze and reconcile standard and actual costs, ensuring proper adjustments.
  • Implement internal controls to optimize material usage and reduce waste.


The Successful Applicant

A successful Cost Accountant should have:

  • Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with finance and operational teams.
