Job summary

Exchange People is seeking a Cosmetic Laboratory & Regulatory Technologist for a site-based role in Liverpool. The candidate will perform hands-on formulation, batch manufacturing, and regulatory tasks across GMP-compliant processes, collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The role emphasizes product testing, record-keeping, and ensuring UK/EU compliance, with a focus on private-label and OEM projects. Day shifts and permanent employment offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on formulation and batch manufacturing in cosmetics/personal care.
• Experience with stability, compatibility, performance, or microbiological testing.
• Knowledge of UK/EU cosmetic compliance including GMP, INCI, labels, and notifications.
• Strong technical writing and meticulous record-keeping.
• Ability to communicate with private-label clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, refine, and troubleshoot batches using controlled formulas with precise records.
• Evaluate appearance, odour, colour, pH, viscosity, density, and performance.
• Plan stability and compatibility programmes and record results with evidence.
• Coordinate external testing and support scale-up and production investigations.
• Maintain manufacturing documents, batch records, and technical files.
• Ensure compliance trackers across private-label and OEM portfolios.
• Review INCI lists, labels, warnings, and UK/EU notifications.
• Communicate with clients, safety assessors, and internal teams.
• Support GMP, change control, deviations, CAPA, audits and document control.
