Zusammenfassung

Salt of the Earth Natural is seeking a Formulation Scientist to develop and improve natural deodorant and body care ranges at our Chandlers Ford facility. You’ll explore new ingredients, run tests and contribute to shaping NPD with marketing and data teams.

This in-office role emphasizes COSMOS Natural and other certification standards, with opportunities to influence product direction and sustainability initiatives while collaborating across functions.

Qualifikationen

• Solid hands-on cosmetic formulation experience, ideally with natural or COSMOS-certified products.
• Experience in deodorant or related personal care categories is a strong advantage.
• Genuine interest in cosmetic formulation, new ingredients and exploring different approaches.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for working with marketing and data to understand customer needs, not just lab work.
• Precision and attention to detail, with ability to explain why a formulation works or fails.

Aufgaben

• Develop new natural deodorant and body care formulations across formats (aerosol sprays, roll-ons, sticks, balms).
• Improve existing formulations through testing, iteration and refinement.
• Explore new ingredients and formats, bringing fresh ideas to the lab.
• Prepare formulation and safety data for CPSR submissions with external safety assessor.
• Ensure formulations meet COSMOS Natural, Vegan Society and Leaping Bunny certification requirements.
